A KVItems server instance will only allow the creation of new items for a logged-in user or application.
On creation, the server will automatically add a CreationUser property and reference the creating user. This way, the user leaves a trace of created items. The CreationUser-of reverse links can be viewed in the user's profile.
The CreationUser then "owns" the item and will always have full read and write access. So it is impossible to accidentally lose access for that item.
